About Chaen-Morifuku
Founded on May 1, 2016 (Hachijuhachiya), Chaen-Morifuku was established with the philosophy of “Creating happiness together with tea.”
We grow and produce tea in Wazuka, Kyoto, an area well suited to tea cultivation, while making use of traditional techniques passed down from the past to the present.
Our tea fields
Our tea fields are located on mountain slopes, with clean air, limited sunlight, a large difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures, good drainage, and rich soil. These conditions require careful cultivation, while helping us produce tea leaves with a character unique to this region.
Our tea
Tea from our mountain fields is characterized by a clean, refreshing taste, a fresh aroma, and a soft mouthfeel. We use the traditional Japanese green-tea “asamushi” shallow-steaming method to preserve the quality of the raw leaves.
